Vehicle Description
I have a 2006 Mitsubishi Raider V6 - 4 Wheel Drive - Double/Crew Cab - Automatic Transmission AC PS PB - 166,000 well maintained miles.
It is the Dodge Dakota Drivetrain and platform - just rebadged as a Mitsubishi model they put out for a few years.

" The Mitsubishi Raider is a pickup truck from Mitsubishi Motors that debuted in the fall of 2005 as a 2006 model for the United States market and is based on the Dodge Dakota. The name is recycled from the Dodge Raider SUV sold from 1987 to 1990, which was a rebadged Mitsubishi Montero "

Good condition - starts - runs - driven to its current location - in forward at normal speeds - to a friends house.
( Community wanted it moved after wife canceled ( financially nonsensical to keep ) insurance on it - and had to turn in the plate ( by FL statute ) since it was never driven )
Cosmetically good - no dents etc . NO accidents etc .
The Truck starts and runs fine - but the transmission has random "reverse issues". It will randomly not go into reverse.
It does drive forward - and so it needs a solenoid pack swap. ( See video links below )
Now - with that said - Owner cannot drive - ( husband passed on ) and so we're helping her to sell it.
And so - the reality is the buyer could have a $ 300 fix and a perfectly fine running 4WD truck.
Even if you had to do an entire transmission swap - it would be around $ 2500 to do so.
And if you did it yourself - and/or got a used transmission from a parts yard - then it would be even less.
But - it is highly likely only a $ 300 solenoid pack swap issue - as all the symptoms exhibited point to that.
( I am a mechanic and have researched the issue )

Well maintained by previous owner.
Now owned by his estate.
Truck located in Buckingham. ( Fort Myers )
Clear signed title in hand.
Might need a new Battery. Starts and runs with a trickle charge - and then in about a month of not driving it the battery gets weak again - and it is a few years old. ( $ 59 batteries are at WalMart - with old battery ( core ) exchanged )
Or - if you drive it everyday ( with the alternator charging it as you drive ) then maybe a new battery isn't needed.
If it sits for a month - it gets a bit weak.
Priced reasonably - especially in this current market - and being a double cab and 4WD.
