Vehicle Description
The good: Fun-to-drive adventure car, 102K miles, did a good job of getting me around through the snow over the winter. AC, heater (and heated seats!), power windows, power locks (2 remote key fobs), radio & CD player work. No check engine lights, passed smog in January. Interior is clean, although shows some small signs of wear - a tear in the driver's seat, missing vanity mirror on passenger side flap. Comes with old Thule racks. I got the correct keys to adjust and remove racks if needed. AWD and decent clearance were nice.
The bad: It is burning a significant amount of oil, and this will have to be addressed, although so far this car just keeps on going as long as I keep on topping up the oil! I bought this car in December and have been making improvements, but I'm moving to the east coast and don't have time to keep working on it. Took it to the shop for: new catalytic converter, new Mass Airflow Sensor. Installed a new front O2 sensor and PCV valve and hose myself. I have a receipt from the previous owner replacing head gaskets a little over a year ago. I'm not sure what is causing the current oil-burning problem, but I think it's a bigger repair than I can do in my driveway with a limited set of tools.
Hopefully this could be a fun car for someone willing to take care of it!
