Vehicle Description
Selling our 2008 Cadillac SRX4 (AWD) V8 with 158k. Price is $5500. It is silver with a black interior.
We have owned this vehicle for about 7-1/2 years and has been the main transportation vehicle for my family/wife. I believe we are the second owners. The V8 makes plenty of power, and is more desirable than the V6 which had a number of issues. It is outstanding in the snow. This vehicle has been good to us and here is a list of work performed over the years:
- (NEW) Brand new front brake pads, rotors & calipers!
- (NEW) Brake fluid flush
- (NEW) Rear differential fluid service
- (NEW) Transfer case fluid service
- (NEW) Cabin air filter + oil change
- (NEW) Coolant change
- Right rear wheel bearing (long time ago)
- Right front outer tie rod (long time ago). This one is greaseable.
- Numerous oil changes (synthetic ONLY)
- Transmission fluid/filter service
- Power steering pump and fluid service (long time ago)
- Two coolant drains/refills (one just done)
- Thermostat
- 8 plugs, 8 coils
- AGM battery
- Hatch struts
- Rear anti-roll bar bushings. I have new AC Delco front ones in a box that I bought in 2018 - never got to it. Included if you want them.
- Here's a weird one: I updated the amp firmware to cure a weird bug that GM identified in 2009 that intermittently causes audio (including turn signal) not to work. How many owners can say they did that?
- We have run 93 octane exclusively but it will run perfectly fine on 87.
- Four matching but not new Cooper Discoverer SRX tires in 255/50-20
Everything in this car works. The remote start works. Power hatch works. Navigation works. Heated seats work. The large Ultraview Plus sunroof works. TPMS works. NO lights on dash at all. No burnt-out exterior lights. I have done my best to maintain this vehicle over the years and I think it shows. No accident history (it does have a few scratches/scrapes, mainly from the wife parking by braille in the garage.sigh).
This particular SRX is fully loaded as far as I can tell (most other ones you will see are not, despite what the ad claims) with an original MSRP of about $60,000 (see Monroney label for proof). Here is a summary of what it has:
- V8 engine and 6-speed automatic (the SRX was refreshed in 2007 with the 6-speed on the V8 cars and an updated interior). Plenty of power and the V8 is considerably more reliable than the V6s if you do any research at all. In fact I had a 2005 Cadillac STS with this exact engine and zero issues.
- Navigation + most up to date map DVD
- Upgraded BOSE surround system with rear seat DVD entertainment and aux in. 6 disc in-dash CD changer w/ MP3 playback. I will scrounge up the remotes/head phones that I can find. Kids are older now.
- Heated seats + steering wheel (yes it works)
- Power heated mirrors
- Power everything w/ memory
- Programmable garage door opener
- Ultraview Plus roof w/ power sun shades. We rarely used it but it works fine.
- Roof racks. I always viewed these as decorative but I think they are actually usable.
- Third row seats (yes, they work)
- Dual zone front auto climate
- Rear A/C
- Split adjustable 2nd row seating positions
- All windows are auto down/up
- Rear parking sensors (beeps/lights when you get too close)
- Power operated hatch (unlike modern ones you can also use it completely manually, but it works perfectly)
- AWD, with Sport package (includes 20" wheels, a few other cosmetic upgrades and a limited slip rear diff!). I think it looks sharp and truthfully pushed me over the edge in early 2015 to buy it.
- HID low beams w/ washers
- Rear wiper w/ washer
- Does NOT have the super expensive MR/FE3 shock system because it was not available with the Sport package (I consider this a plus)
- Towing package (never had a hitch, never towed)
- Rear self-leveling shocks (no pump/lines, they work fantastic no matter what you are carrying - factory Sachs Nivomat)
- Power pedals
- Block heater! Never used because we don't live in Alaska.
- TPMS which reads out all 4 tire pressures
This was a family vehicle so be prepared for some scratches in the paint. It shows pretty well with the silver though. Interior is quite clean. I even have two keys with remotes. There are no water leaks in the interior and nothing leaks underneath. It's been garaged since we bought it in early 2015.
The snow performance of this vehicle is the best I have ever experienced. It can go through anything.
I can answer any questions or show the vehicle.
