Vehicle Description
Hello,
We have a 2008 Cadillac Escalade ESV that we no longer need. It has 122,000 miles on it.
The car still drives fine, but it has some issues thus the price. KBB of "good" condition is between 12-14k so even investing the ~2k needed to make it good again, this is still well below value.
-Small ding w/ scratch on front side bumper, see picture.
-The engine makes a whining noise when driving (accelerating). This is very noticeable and will need to be addressed. We have taken it to a few shops and done some minor fixes and finally our mechanic charged us to do an in depth diagnosis and states it will need a new front differential, and has a worn motor mount on one side, and quoted us $1500 to fix. Considering we don't need to drive it anymore, we decided this just wasn't worth it to us.
-The trunk auto open/close feature is broken. When you close the trunk, the auto-close feature will continue to try and work which prevents it from latching properly. Last time I opened the trunk I had to keep closing it quite a few times before it would latch and lock. We just leave the trunk closed now and access it through the window hatch.
-Comes with 1 key fob
Here’s the good:
-New tires, we're snow people, so we have nice all-weather snow rated tires on them, with over 80% of the tread remaining. Currently on Cadillac brand black 16” rims.
- Tags are good through 2021.
-Clean title, in hand.
-We’ve done quite a bit of maintenance on it over the last year, including replacing all the belts and some hoses, the battery, new o2 system, front differential fluid change, various other things too. Brakes are still good.
-The car has the luxury package which includes a touch screen, navigation system, backup camera, leather seats, moon roof, heated seats, etc. your basic standard features on a luxury vehicle. Has a heated steering wheel if your hands get cold =)
-The car has a tow package and current trailer brakes installed on it. We have a 5,000lb trailer we recently bought, and we’ve towed 3 times with it so far, each time to central Oregon. This car handled towing just fine, didn’t even notice the trailer was back there. We haven’t towed since the whining noise started b/c we weren't initially sure what that was.
-Interior has no permanent damage but needs a good shampooing. Interior is black leather with dark wood trim.
I got a new job downtown, and it is impractical for me to drive down there. I would rather sell this car and stop paying the insurance on it, but there's no particular rush. Price is FIRM and cash only. This would be ideal for someone willing or able to fix the acceleration noise issue, I'm sure you could turn around and re-sell for a profit. I just don't need the car anymore and I'm trying to drop car insurance completely and just take the max and uber for awhile, which will be much cheaper for me.
I’m happy to email more pics or info. If you want to purchase it, I'd like to do so at the DMV so we make sure the title transfers to you smoothly, although you can drive it around or check out the engine first if you'd like.
I posted this previously and got flooded with too many emails only to realize I didn't have the title, so I deleted the post. I've now gotten the title from the bank so we're good to go and re-posting.
