Vehicle Description
Wonderful 2008 Honda Civic Ex Coupe for Sale by Owner (Hello Readers!!!)
This wonderful little zipper has taken many a fun journey with me and I would love to see it go to a great new owner who will cherish it as much as I have. This is an efficient Honda that has been in my family and taken care of as much as it has taken care of us along the way.
In the lifetime tour of my ownership of this vehicle it has been involved in one accident. I was hit by a driver up the street from our house and given the shape of this car body the entire driver side panel (one piece) was replaced and the drivers and passenger airbag computers were replaced. All of this work was done at a Hot Rod autobody shop in Virginia where I was born and raised and the replacement drivers side airbag computer is functioning but the passenger side has to be replaced again since the original replacement was a dud. I have not replaced it but I have it in hand and have the directions on how to replace it as well. I just haven’t put it into the seat because my tiny girl hands don’t have the correct ratchets with enough torque (does anyone see my issue here I’m seriously lost and confused in this garage in a way that the GPS cannot redirect me now?!?) ANYWAYS. This has honestly never been of any issue to me in the time I’ve had the car and should be a simple fix which I’ve provided all of the resources for except the....ratchets. I also have the directions on how to install this passenger airbag computer and can provide them.
In regards to other gremlins, the only other monster (probably more like a Furby) that I have with this car is that the air conditioning only works about 80% of the time. This has not been a problem for me in Taos and I have not yet had it professionally looked at because I simply have not needed air conditioning in this beautiful Eden I call home.
Overall the car is in great shape, better condition than when I inherited it from my family (formerly used as a DC commuter car as it has such great fuel efficiency ratings.) I am a bit of a neat freak so it has been kept in great condition and detailed regularly (if you care about such things.) Non-smoking and no pets.
Now onto the bonuses and fun extras I love about this car. Honda’s really are wonderful. I owned an Acura TL before driving this Honda Civic and I truly love this class of vehicles they really are a breed of their own and driving this little pearl gets better each ride. If I can promise anything- this car really is a banger. I especially recommend the Pulitzer Prize Winning Album DAMN. by Kendrick Lamar. That alone, will get you places.
THE RADIO.
It plays movies and audio. Yes. You can watch Jurassic Park or Harry Potter while driving home. You pick. Dinosaurs or Magic. Perhaps both, if you can bring a pterodactyl back from extinction using said magic that will be an even better mode of transportation! It also charges your phone and plays tunes at the same time so you can blast Fleetwood Mac or Kanye West while enjoying some sun through the moonroof.
The other good news is that this car is originally from Virginia where the car standards are far more strict than New Mexico and I’ve always kept my cars in great shape like my Father taught me. We have pretty strict inspections down south now ya know. Also it gets close to 38MPG. DREAMY. Even Dreamier- a full screen back up camera for drivers like me who can turn our heads all the way around and still not see the boulders behind us (GUILTY!!)
Due to the new Radio upgrade the steering wheel accessories no longer work but cruise control is still great and works like a charm much better than my lead foot.
I would really love to keep this car I just love it so much and I know whoever buys it will do some great alien hunting with it. That being said, when you love something enough- you must let it go.
Overall this car is loved and cherished as all of my vehicles have been and currently resides in an orchard of apple, apricot, cherry, and pear trees in the high desert and ideally I would like to see it go to an owner that would provide it an equally, if not, better home (it has previously been garage exclusive in Virginia before I moved to New Mexico) so let’s carry on a great life for this cute little Honda in its nest of stone fruit trees living its best life.
