Vehicle Description
2008 Mitsubishi Lancer ES 5 speed. 170,000 miles. Car is a three owner. It was purchased by original owner and driven to 120k, sold to second owner then I purchased it from at 134k.
The car was purchased after my bmw was smashed into and totaled while being parked by a drunk. I bought it for its amazing mpg. I get 34-37mpg on highway consistently. City driving if you’re moderate footed with gas is around 27. I used this car for work driving from Rockford to Schaumburg daily for two years now. In the past two years I’ve listed what I’ve replaced. It’s been a absolute great car. Reason I’m selling is I bought another bmw(can’t help it love them)
Previous owner replaced (have records at request)
Recall for drive belt and pulley at 130k
During that service the coolant lines, clutch flywheel, slave and master clutch cylinder, tie rod ends and control arms were replaced.
Since my ownership I’ve replaced:
Starter motor
Valve cover gasket
Front strut kit are KYB gr2
Brakes and pads were replaced at 170k and are ceramics
New wipers for winter
Newer tires 85-90%
The car has been nothing short of reliable. No issues no CELs no problems whatsoever. Previous owner said the same. The only problem this car has is visually and thankfully you can get a painted replacement at most scrap yards. I’ve posted pictures and this seems to be common lancer cancer. Front fenders have surface rust. I was going to grab some from LKQ but haven’t had the time. Replace these and you’ll be riding clean.
Previous owner put on a DC sport exhaust but I have purchased a stock muffler that I will include with purchase.
Looking for 3500 obo. With how great the condition is and nice and CLEAN the interior is, I think it’s priced appropriately.
I am available weekends and after 5 pm on weekdays.
