Vehicle Description
I am selling my 2008 Subaru Outback 2.5i, 5 speed manual wagon which I have owned for the last 2.5 years. I have had lots of work completed on this car over the last 2.5 years as many of the usual wear and tear items were nearing their service life along with various known Subaru issues. I have also installed a BOSS Audio System R1100M Amp and 12 Inch subwoofer. I have removed the aftermarket radio but all the wiring for the amp/sub is still in place and ready to go. I have aftermarket rims and tires on the vehicle currently as pictured and I also have the factory wheels with all season tires which have about 10k miles on them available. I recently had the vehicle detailed at Veneton Auto Solutions and is ready to go. Some of the work completed on the vehicle includes:
Head gasket/Timing belt and water pump @165,000
New Valves and springs, spark plugs
All new belts and hoses
Starter
Battery
Recent engine/cabin air filter
EGR Valve
MAF sensor
New exhaust from manifold to flexpipe
Both front axles replaced
Transmission seals replaced
Front brakes/rotors less than 2k miles
Rear brakes and rotors 20k miles
x2 wheel bearing replacements
New rear subframe
new rear lower control arms
New rear lateral arms
Trailing arm bushings
just about every bushing in the rear has been replaced
Rear differential service
Transmission fluid change
The negatives
The engine does burn oil and has done so since I have owned the car. I took this car across the country to California last winter and it burned about a 1/2 quart of oil over the duration of the 3k mile drive. I just check the oil with fill-ups and top off as needed. The transmission does make a rattling noise on coasting which is most likely a loose piece of shaft shielding which cannot be accessed without rebuilding the transmission but does not affect drivability or gear changes. The paint on the hood of the vehicle is fading as can be seen in the photos. There is some small dents on the roof from hail damage along with a scratch/dent on the rear passenger door and a scratch on the rear passenger bumper. There is also a small hole in the driver side upper bolstering, I normally just put tan seat covers over to hide.
I am asking 5,000 or best offer for the vehicle.
