Vehicle Description
For sale is a 2009 Lexus ES350 in a difficult to describe goldish/silverish/vaguely pinkish color.
This Lexus ES350 is truly in only fair condition, with several obvious cosmetic flaws that we have honestly tried to faithfully picture so you know what you are considering. It also has a few electronic/accessory issues that do not make it undrivable, but certainly make the deal less sweet. These aforementioned flaws are why this vehicle is listed cheaper than other ES350 cars on the market.
I recently went to the Lexus dealer to get the vehicle assessed. They were able to describe what was necessary to fix the two electrical/accessory issues. Each issue will cost about $1,200 to fix, so in my mind it's not worth it.
Another notable weirdness of this vehicle is that its VIN is a Puerto Rico VIN. It had its CV joints on the front replaced at about 60,000-70,000 miles shortly after I purchased it.
Car had a brand new set of Goodyear tires put on it within the last three months. Bought Goodyear so that the vehicle would still ride nicely.
Also included is a weathertech trunk mat that I purchased shortly after buying this car.
I have maintenance records that I have kept since I bought it. I have almost always used full synthetic oil on the car, and changed the oil roughly every 5,000-8,000 miles, though there was a least one time that I went quite a bit longer I think. (Oops.)
I'm selling this vehicle because I purchased a van and don't need three vehicles, and since we now have two kids, budget wins over features, so I’m keeping the Pontiac Vibe. This car is intended to be priced attractively considering its cosmetic flaws and electrical/accessory flaws.
Cosmetic flaws on this vehicle include:
-Significant tear in the driver's side seat (Expect repair to be ~$300)
-Line-shaped puncture dent in front bumper from hitting boat trailer hitch (Not repairable)
-Scrapes on back bumper from slowly backing in to concrete mailbox
-Broken fin on the middle right vent. It is the adjuster vin.
Electrical/Accessory issues
-Adaptive light beam feature not working. (This is the feature that turns the headlights in the direction that you are turning) ~$1,200 to fix
-Wheel bearing sensor going out. This is an intermittent issue. When the issue takes place, it shuts off the ABS, traction control, and throws a "Check VSC” error. Often times when these lights come on, you can shut off the car shortly after starting it and turn it back on and the problem wont be there. I have been driving it this way for at least 6 months without issue.
