Vehicle Description
2009 Volkswagen CC Sport
2.0 Liter Turbo (4 cyl CCTA Engine)
6 Speed Manual FWD
Approx. 159,000 miles on the car
Stopped driving it after it was misfiring – as happens with the CCTA engine, I suspected it jumped timing. Runs and drives, OK though.
Recently scanned and cleared fault codes to include them here.
Started it up and drove for a couple miles … ran fine.
There are no engine fault codes recorded now and nothing to share.
Based on other owners experience it likely needs the timing chain tensioner replaced.
That’s the story.
Expect to have some engine work done in the near future.
Asking $2950 - make an offer
Title in hand. Available most evenings.
Recent:
Battery
Rear Main Seal (was leaking)
Clutch and Pressure Plate (while replacing the rear main seal)
Fuel Pressure Sensor
PCV Assembly (was questionable)
Ignition Coils / plugs (just because)
Intake Manifold (VW had a design issue)
Rear Coil Springs (one broke)
Oil Pan (was rusty)
Fuel Pump Control Module (recall)
Maintenance:
Oil and filter changed at least every 5K miles
Pentosin 5w-40 (VW 502)
Mann Filters
Air and Cabin Filter at least annually
