Vehicle Description
Selling our 2010 Mercedes GLK350 with only 79k miles! This car feels and drives like it was made yesterday. It has been a fantastic and comfortable car, but we really just want a truck. We weren’t fans of the 20” BLING wheels, so we put some very nice 17” Mercedes/BBS 2pc wheels on it with all-terrain tires! This car was meant to be the baby G-Wagon! These wheels and tires are more rugged and help it ride like an actual Mercedes. Now, it’s much better suited for Utah’s winters. The 4-Matic 4wd system will get you anywhere safely. It’s fully loaded with leather, Harmon Kardon sound system, infotainment display, backup camera, super cold AC/toasty heater with seat warmers, huge sunroof/moonroof, automatic rear hatch and best of all, it’s fast! The V6 has almost 280hp so it is a zippy drive on the freeway with lots of power. We’ve meticulously kept up the maintenance on this car! Here’s a list of what’s new in the last year and a half since we bought it:
•New motor mounts (Mar 2018)
•New Mercedes/BBS 2pc wheels
•New all terrain tires (Aug 2019)
•New windshield (Aug 2019)
•New brake pads front/rear (June 2019)
•New brake pad sensors (Jul 2019)
•New spark plugs (Jul 2019)
•New air filters (Jul 2019)
•Common EIS and ESL issue has been fixed by Pressertech (Jan 2019)
•Mercedes “B5” service was performed (Jul 2019)
•Oil always changed regularly with full synthetic.
•airbags were warrantied in sept 2018
This car has had the common key ignition failure fixed for good! Mercedes of this generation all have an issue with the key’s ignition. The “electronic ignition switch” that you stick your key into fries and won’t allow you to start your car! Even worse the electronic steering lock will remain locked and never free. If you have a 5-10yr old Mercedes, this WILL happen! Having the dealer fix it can cost $1200-1600, plus they just put the same parts back in and those will fail just the same. I didn’t want this to happen again! So I sent both the electronic ignition switch and electronic steering lock to a company called Presser-Tech. They actually repair the failed circuit chip in this system so it will never occur again! Ask and see if this has been done to any other GLK you look at, because it is inevitable and pricey to fix.
Also we bought a 5yr free windshield replacement program that still has 3yrs left! This is transferable to the new owners, so you can replace the expensive rain-sensing windshield for free for a couple of years more!
Plus the B5 service done Jul 2019, at the dealership was an extensive one. All systems were checked, including a brake fluid change, an automatic transmission fluid change, and an oil change.
The only downer is that the new wheels need the tire pressure sensors transferred over from the old wheels. Not a big deal, but the tire pressure sensor light is on because of it.
This is a wonderful, low-mileage, and luxurious car! It will continue to feel like new for a lot of years to come. Thanks for looking, text is best!
