Vehicle Description
The front wheel drive transmission is a five speed. The AC drive inverter were designed for 120 Volts. The new Leaf batteries are 120 volts with two sets in parallel. The Triac can do freeway speeds with a range of near 200 miles. New charger and interior. Titled and insured as a motorcycle.
The original Triac three-wheel electric vehicle was imported from China by Green Vehicles of Salinas, California, it touted a 100-mile range, an 80 mph top speed, and a price tag of $25,000. The company went bankrupt and only a few vehicles survived. I found this one here in Charleston at one of the golf cart importers. Picture of the original Triac Reverse Trike in blue and silver.
The front of the triac was damaged and I decided to design a new wider front. The lead batteries sat under the seats. I removed that frame work and installed new Nissan Leaf batteries behind the front seats. This changed the original balance of the Triac. I changed all coil over springs a few times to get the handling correct. New wider wheels and tires were put on all three locations. New interior and paint where done.
Electric Vehicle Concepts started conversions in Southern California in the early 1970's. Moved to the east coast in 1985 and still building electric vehicles in 2022. One off design and piece of EV history. Call if interested or have questions. Other electric vehicles for sale.
