Vehicle Description
2011 Suburban 2500 LT Duraburb LMM Duramax and Allison Transmission
1 owner since it's conversion, we have used it as a family travel vehicle all of our time. We got the Suburban with about 70,000 miles on it and had it converted by Duraburb in 2013. It has been an awesome vehicle for many years, driven X country probably 20 times and anywhere in between on regional trips. It has never left us stranded or broken down. I have always kept a rigorous maintenance schedule with the 'burb: oil/filter every 7500, fuel filter every other oil change, any scheduled maintenance that was due I took care of. Other than an occasional tire rotation or oil change out on the road, all of it's service has been done at my local Chevy dealer. It may be more expensive to have them service it, but the diesel mechanic is 2nd to none around here and I trust his work and recommendations.
At 200,000 I did a 100,000 service and replaced all fluids, filters and put new tires on. In addition, we replaced the injectors, heads and gaskets and used studs instead of bolts. It runs absolutely like a sewing machine. I just towed a 6' x 12' double axle trailer, fully loaded, from Bozeman to Montana to Memphis, TN last week stopping only for fuel and a few hours sleep. Never a 2nd thought about having any troubles on the road. Almost 4000 miles in 3 days, pushing 85 mph all day long.
Added: Fab Four Front bumper and fog lights, Bilstein Shocks, Rare Parts Idler, Pitman Arms and Tie Rods
Overall it's a fantastic vehicle that has served my family VERY well. We've just outgrown a Suburban and are moving towards a van. It's is in excellent mechanical condition but does have a couple of items to note.
1. There is a crack in the dash, please see the picture
2. There is a dent in the front left quarter panel, please see picture
3. Fuel Transfer pump is not working. Duraburb has the schematics on the diagram to cure the problem, I just have not addressed that. Instead of using 25 Gal of Diesel, it runs off 20 Gal.
Chevrolet, GM, Ford, Dodge, 4WD, 4x4, Truck, SUV, Traction Control, Diesel, Duramax, Powerstroke, Cummins, Jeep, Toyota, LandCruiser, Excursion, Expedition, Tahoe, Cadillac
