Vehicle Description
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed owning this car over the last few years, but due to some life changes it is time to let it go to free up funds for other projects.
The car is quick, fun to drive, and get’s amazing gas milage, especially on road trips, and has all of the modern creature comforts you’d hope for in a daily driver: heated leather seats, great sound system, navigation, etc.
The car comes with an excellent record of services and repairs, most notably a complete engine replacement at 120k miles, including the turbo.
Other notable maintenance/repairs:
- DSG transmission service summer of ’22
- A/C solenoid replacement and A/C recharged summer of ’22
- New rear brake pads fall of ’21
- Complete DPF & exhaust manifold replacement summer of ’21
The wagon comes with two sets of wheels. The summer wheels are from an VW R32, and those tires have one more summer left in them. The winter wheels are from an Audi with studless Blizzaks that have less than 7k miles.
The car is currently on lowering springs, which drop the height by around 1-1.5”. No issues around town, but it’s not a great off-road vehicle. That being said, with the winter tires, this car is an excellent snowy road vehicle and has taken me to many ski hills.
Previous owner installed a new receiver that looks factory but adds Apple CarPlay functionality.
The two bike roof rack is negotiable and can be included for the right price
Also included is a FrostHeater for quicker starts/warm air on cold mornings.
The bad and ugly:
- There is a small coolant leak. Scotts EQ found some weeping from the radiator. They topped off the coolant on 6/5 and marked the height in the reservoir and it hasn’t moved after about 1k miles. I purchased a radiator and had plans to install it, but since it hasn’t been an issue I haven’t bothered. The replacement rad will come with the car.
- The retractable moonroof shade is jammed and not functional. This is a common issue on these cars. It’s tucked up out of the way for now.
- The lights are aftermarket HIDs, and they throw a ‘check light’ code, but function great
- Both front and rear bumpers have some rough paint
Asking $10k, open to offers but not in a rush to give it away.
