This work truck with mileage so low was previously owned by Verizon. The Cap has locking compartments that are water proof, and illuminate as soon as you open each one. The cab has a locking file folder box that's also used as your writing surface for invoices and that and of coarse the glove compartment locks too. All around just a very clean, gently used work truck that is nice and quiet when sitting still or coming to a stop along with assisting the gasoline powered engine and taking some of the workload off the traditional gasoline engine. This vehicle has an 8 cylinder engine which is a 6.0 liter, the hybrid portion is simply the elctric portion that assists the engine creating more HP and torque. It does not get plugged in, the Hybrid battery actually recharges thru regenative braking where enrgy captured from the brakes when slowing down and coming to a stop gets stored in the Hybrid battery for later use when accelarating. Hybrid batteries, by Federal law, now come wth a minimum warranty of 10 years and/or so many miles. This mandated warranty probably wasnt around for the 2012 models but these batteries were built to last and typically do not get replaced. They usually last longer than the life of the vehicle. In the rear case the battery does need replacing some day, the cost has come way down since 2012. A typical hybrid battery used to cost 3 to $5000 where now they can usually be replaced for somewhere between $500 and $1200. If you decide not to replace it, you can still drive the vehicle, it just wont go into full electric mode as often until eventually it doest go into electric mode at all and you are left with a traditional gasoline vehicle. This truck has only 60k miles, the exterior is in amazing shape. There may be a ding or two along with a scratch or two but you can see in the photos that it is a very presentable truck. No visible rot or rust, other than a few very small chips in the front and on the hood that has been touched up so almost impossible to see. Tires are very close to new, rims are in excellent shape. The interior, tan, is very clean and in perfect condition with ice cold air. Now, as for the cap on the vehicle, each compartment locks and has Led lighting that comes on as soon as you open it, and it seems as if it is leak proof. The ladder rack works fine where you can pull the handle and bring the ladder right down for easy removal.
