Vehicle Description
2013 Nissan Leaf SL
Selling my fully electric, 2013 Nissan Leaf. This car has been very good to me, and I’m now upgrading to a newer Tesla after many years. It has a clean title and I am the only owner. Full Carfax report linked below.
This is a perfect car if you are looking to “try” electric (especially while gas is so expensive!), or looking for a safe option for a teenage driver. It has a range of about 75 miles and can charge at thousands of locations, and is much roomier inside than you might guess. You can charge every night at home and wake up with a “full tank”.
The car runs perfectly and has not had any service issues since I bought it. You may know, but electric cars require very little service and have excellent maintenance overall. There is no oil to change, no transmission, no engine, and thousands of fewer parts than a gas engine car.
Carfax: . Note, this says two owners, but both owners are me. I leased it from Nissan originally, and then bought it when it came off lease, and have owned it ever since.
Carfax shows the value as $10,950, which is my asking price. Cash or cashiers check only, please.
Compare this price to similar cars on Carvana with asking prices between $12-$15k here: Given I am selling private party, I’m happy selling at a discount to the dealer and online sites.

59k miles
Features:
Fully Electric; ~75 miles range; increasing number of chargers everywhere (see electric car note below)
120v home charger - just plug it into any wall outlet
Navigation
Front Wheel Drive, Traction Control, ABS
Heated steering wheel and seats
Automatic windows
Keyless entry and push button start
One key fob
Good tires with lots of tread
Alloy wheels, not hub caps
Clean title, no loan
I have found that complete transparency is the best way to be a happy seller and find a happy buyer. I like to share, in detail, everything that I know that is wrong with the car.
Dent on passenger rear quarter panel - you can see this in the pictures, there is a ~8” dent from rubbing into a trashcan when I backed out of the garage a few years ago. It didn’t break the paint, but you can see it cosmetically.
Driver door handle - the handle is slightly loose and clicks when you open the door. This is the cosmetic trim around the handle, and possibly needs a new “cover”. It doesn’t have any functional issues, just cosmetic.
Dings on the rear passenger door - you can also see these in the pictures. My young kids would open the door of the other car in our garage and ding my rear door. Cosmetic issue with dings down the rear door.
A note on electric cars…. If you haven’t owned one there are a few things to know. I’ve driven them for eight years and will never go back. They are virtually zero maintenance, only requiring tire rotation and battery check every couple years (recommended). The range is sensitive to how you drive and the weather. While the expected range is 75 miles, if you drive at high speeds (70+mph), or in very cold weather, then this range will be shorter. I’ve found the number of chargers everywhere has gone up dramatically, and often come with preferential parking spots. The largest charging network is ChargePoint; check out their charging map here:
I’m glad to discuss these points or any others that you may have on this car or the benefits of driving an electric car.
