Vehicle Description
The time has come due to life changes to list my car and it is your opportunity to own one of my dream cars and an absolute riot of a ride! I am the second owner of this car. Purchased from the original owner in November of 2019 when the odometer read 55,000mi. I have loved every second of this car and it is time to get into the larger write-up.
Some background:
The car was custom-ordered from the factory in August of 2014, and was received in October with the following options:
- Ford Performance Blue
- Ford Racing Focus ST FR1 "Power Upgrade Pack" - This bumps the power up a little bit but it increased the torque up by an impressive +90lb ft (360lb ft @ 2,8000 RPM it will certainly put a smile one your face!) This performance pack and tune are ford performance racing parts and maintained their warranty through 55,000 miles.
- MyFordTouch, GPS, Premium Sony Audio (pretty good for what it is!)
Since receiving the car the following has been installed/maintanence:
- Updated rear motor mount (desperately needed)
- Global window mod (allows you to roll windows up/down with the remote, a factory feature in the EU) this is actually one of my favorite "showpieces"
- TPMS programmer (just a little remote with a button for relearning TPMS)
- 3d MaxPider floormats - VERY GOOD! They have protected the floors incredibly well.
- TurboSmart 50/50 recirc bypass valve (adjustable) - Makes a fun noise for the kid in you but definitely a liveable noise.
- Shor throw shifter - If I remember correctly it is a COBB short throw.
- Full block replacement at 63,000 - This was a not-so-fun one. A cylinder wall warped on me thanks to the coolant channeling around the block and let coolant into cylinder 4. Ford has remedied the problem and the block that was installed is the upgraded block at Muscatell Ford in Hawley. I believe there is warranty from the shop and from ford on that repair as well.
- Regular Oil Changes have been performed with the last happening around 1,000 miles ago so there is fresh oil.
- A new battery was installed in Feb '21
*Paper Work for most of these is with the car*
The car presently has ~72,300 miles on it. This number will increase slightly as time goes as it is one of two cars that we own however we try and share our other and drive that primarily. It is currently on the a set of 17' base model focus wheels (black) with winter tires on them. They have life left on them but they are getting close to needing replacement. Probably 1 year left on them before needing it. I have the 18" OEM silver "snowflakes" with Michelin Pilot Sport 3s on them currently with an additional set of Pilot Sport 3s waiting to be mounted if you'd like.
Disclosures:
- The car was in a minor accident not long after being purchased wherein the front right side of the car was impacted. It was repaired immediately 100% by Auto Nation Collision Center in White Bear Lake.
- In August of 2020 the car was rear-ended a low speed and was immediately repaired at Luther Collision and Glass in Fargo.
- The front air dam was cracked by an ice chunk so it was removed by the previous owner. I have never been too bothered by this however I have found a replacement bumper cover online for approximately $400.
- It has some bumps and scratches from the previous owner which have had 2-step paint correction and a minor scrape and chip on the rear bumper cover. It also has the normal wear and tear you'd expect from a 7.5 year old car. Relatively speaking the car is in great shape.
- There is occasionally a check engine light that pops up (code P0234 - overboost) Which is most likely caused by the aftermarket bypass valve, or the boost that the Ford Racing setup pushes (27+ psi) that was installed. It has not affected the car in anyway.
Truthfully I love this car. It has been a dream car for me since it came out. I purchased it with the intention of keeping it forever, but I'm selling because life's goals have changed since I purchased the car. It has been taken on many road trips including to New Mexico and back and the Recaro seats are very comfortable. Between the comfort of long road trips and the quick steering rack that make it feel like a go kart this thing has been a blast. I have had no problems getting around in the snow with the winter tires, and when summer comes the torque from that Ford Racing tune is ridiculous. It is roomy and gets decent MPG when you want it to be practical. The Ford Racing exhaust is incredibly quiet when driving on long trips or around town but will make a fantastic noise and make you giggle when you wanna fool around. In my mind it is a great car and a total blast to own.
I have attached an AutoCheck report that was purchased today (1/12/2022) I will certainly do a carfax as well if needed. Please feel free to ask me anything that may not be answered in the post.
I am willing to negotiate on price however the car is under lien currently. I will respond to messages about the car as I get them feel free to email me at the attached email.
