Vehicle Description
I've received offers from 25 to 26k from online car sales services (see pics). I figure I'd post the Outback here to see if anyone local would like to save a couple grand relative to buying from a dealership. All service was done in town at the local Subaru dealership. I bought it from Carr Subaru in Beaverton in Dec. 2018, so the 3 year warranty recently expired. The only service done to the car other than regular maintenance was a paint job to the rear passenger door due to branches scraping to the metal. There appear to be a couple small dents in that side since then, probably due to using the Subaru as it should be used. The car runs and drives great. It recently had its 3 year/36k mile inspection and the dealership said everything was great! They did recommend changing out the battery, which I will try to get to but that's only a $70 job.
Features to note:
Compustar remote start - larger range than Subaru remote start and allows you to drive the car without turning the engine on/off again. ($350)
Close-hugging stealth hitch - the hitch is right up against the bumper to give extra clearance. ($500 with install)
Spare wheelset - the spare wheels have the TPMS - happy to provide the receipt from discount tire. ($1300)
This is the second season running the blizzak tires. They have plenty of life left and if driving in the snow stresses you out then this car with blizzak tires is the car for you. The bridgestone tires probably have another couple seasons.
It also has seat warmers, Apple and Android compatibility, driver power adjusted seat, and rubber mats on the rear of the rear seats. This car has never been smoked in and has never been in an accident (not even a fender bender).
I tried to show all the negatives I could find. Mostly the tiny dents discussed above and a hole in the rubber in the trunk. I plan on getting the car detailed and cleaned in a couple weeks. It'll look great!
I'm only selling for 27.5 because 1) it's more than the online dealers offered, 2) I'm trying to help out someone locally since it'll likely sell for about 30k at a dealership (especially a Subaru dealership because they will certify it, and 3) the local dealership annoyed me with their very low ball offer and to get back at them and to keep them from selling their much worse 2018 outback for 29.3k. They originally listed it for 32k and dropped it to 29k after I went to get a quote for mine.
The price is firm. I'm not looking to haggle and can take the online offers without any effort. Only doing this to spite the local dealership and possibly provide another local a good car at a discount. We will need to keep using the car for about another month or so. The final miles should still be below 40k. If you live in Klamath Falls you can take advantage of the reduction in interest rates from Klamath Public Employees! It'll be either 1.5 or 2% to finance the car depending on your credit and term you select.
I'll offer 1k off the list price if you decide to purchase now. I'm thinking a down payment through Paypal or Venmo business. This way you have protection.
