Vehicle Description
2002 Mazda Protege 5 Sport Wagon
Two-owner car with very low mileage for the year. Has more options (black leather interior, moonroof, alloy wheels, etc.) than most P5s. Interior is 8/10, paint 8/10. Minor dings and scratches.
Maintained regularly. Does not leak oil and coolant is clear. New radiator, battery and serpentine belts within the last two years. Tuneup (plugs, wires, ignition coils) less than a year ago and all tires have good tread left. Just installed new air-conditioning controls and a new AC motor and fan; blows strong and cold. Recently had hood and rearview mirrors re-shot with high-quality paint and clearcoat.
Issues:
- Plastic roof rails have cracked; if I kept the car I would remove both and install flush strips that are available online since they really streamline the car’s looks.
- Bumper and rear spoiler paint is fine but would benefit from eventual respray.
An attractive, turnkey daily driver that’s inexpensive and fun to drive. Compare and you’ll find that this car is is far better shape than most P5s on the market. $4000. In no hurry to sell.
P5 owner reviews:
I do not want or need help selling this vehicle.
