Vehicle Description
1995 Toyota 4Runner SR5
YES IT IS AUTOMATIC! SR5 V6s were like 90% automatic... if you find a manual one it is most likely after-market.
NEGATIVES:
- Head gasket leak (parked in same spot for years, roughly 1-2 inch stain underneath which you can see for yourself if you come see the truck)
- Sound system + flood lights create extra drain on battery (which is why I put in a marine battery)
- over 20 year old V6 doesn't get great gas mileage (last calculated around 16 city/21 highway).... but if you are looking at this truck you probably don't care much about that. Also, for an off-road vehicle, it gets MUCH better mileage than most... you can actually drive to the area you want to climb instead of towing your toys.
- loud on highway (as with any truck with large tires)... off-set with the amazing sound system though!
- high-mileage...depending on your gen 1-3 knowledge. My dad's 2nd gen 4Runner lasted over 800k miles.
- independent front suspension (makes off-roading slightly less effective, but 99x more comfortable + responsive on-road)
- *insert opinions here* (ex: I'm not a fan of the color)
POSITIVES:
+ Crisp high-five included with purchase.
+ No rust (fixed/prevented).
+ $30k+ in after market parts+labor (all receipts included).
+ State-of-the-art sound system ($2k) with built in amp.
+ Limo tint.
+ Marine battery ($300).
+ Off-road tires (The current tires have less than 2k miles, and I went for semi-off-road since I was driving daily on tarmac/roads).
+ Enough room to sleep inside the truck (1 comfortably, 2 uncomfortably, or 3+ if you're a 'moral-free' undertaker with a taste for monster trucks and stacking corpses) for some extremely comfortable and warm camping. I would just bring my sleeping bag, no tent needed.
STORY:
...I'm only listing for $4k because I have no more time for fun since our 2nd child was born, and the wife wants this beast (and my motorcycle) gone. This truck was my daily driver for years. My massive time/money sink is your gain. I just want someone else to enjoy this monster. Also included with purchase is the stock radio/headunit, and a sealed box of parts I was going to use to fix/update with: head gasket, steering tie rods, ball joints, control arms, and pretty much everything else you need for a full front-end suspension (and some parts for rear also) restoration.
Again: all receipts for work done were kept, and will be given to the new owner on vehicle purchase.
