Vehicle Description
What I have is family project assembled by father & son professional speed shop back at the turn of the century. The car started as a low mileage(50k) southern Florida 1983 928s 5 psd car combined with a wrecked 95 928 GTS donor car. Pulled from 928GTS was complete interior including dashboard, also the hatch/wing, all glass, tsteering rack, as was a donor 5spd transaxle and torque tube from an early 88 928 S4(the objective was a 200mph car). Then father/son built from ground up GM LT1 stroked to 383cuin best of everything, then a new $4800 Powerdyne supercharger was added(conservative 400rwhp400rwtq). All retrofiited to the 928s by virtue of Painless Wiring system and EFI computer and mated to the Porsche G28/11 Transaxle thru HP Kevlar puck clutch. Enough said, I have write up(in jpg form) and many pictures. It is being sold as is for it hasn't run in more than 1/2 decade after the fuel pump at tank seized and the hp Aeromotive underhood pump pulled every drop of gas through the engine until engine starved, so fuel system is bone dry as well as fuel injectors, but it still cranks just won't fire, NO GAS. I installed a working $300 Bosch fuel pump onto car but before connecting it to fuel tank thought best to drop tank and thoroughly clean it. Then I got fatally got sick, coma for 21 days, woke paralyzed head to toe, took 9 months rehab, after 89 day hospital stay, to get back on my feet, but hey i am still here! Of course the battery is long dead so if you have any skills whatsoever this could be the hot rod you have been searching for. It needs a paint if you're planning on showing it off (got quite a few stone chips up front ) but if your going to track why bother. I am not giving it away, lost 1/2 my money selling it at $10k, but it's not running and so it is what it is. I also have many other 928 parts accumulated over the years(i have owned (3), including one that was wrecked i bought back from insurance company because they were bending me over, so i have doors, hatch/S4 wing, sideskirts, pass fender, hood, headlights/buckets and the entire suspension/brakes from 1 of only 151 made Porsche 928GT's made, what's that worth? Advertised price is for car only but I am sure we can work out a deal since my wife wouldn't mind if it was all gone & wants that parking space in the garage and my hotrod 928 just attracts boxes as of late, but be sure they are sitting atop movers blankets.
