Vehicle Description
I’ve owned this beautiful Torino GT for 16 years. I love this car, and hate to see it go…But it’s time to downsize, and time to sell. I bought this car in October 2006 to restore as needed, preserve its original factory appearance and classic beauty. I showed it off on weekend drives and a few local car shows. It looks great and sounds amazing!
The Story: The original owner, Elmer Dale M. ordered this car new at a Seattle Ford dealer (DSO:74), it was built in San Jose CA September 5, 1969 and then delivered to Elmer September 26, 1969. Elmer garaged and babied this car at his home in Kirkland WA for over 34 years until he passed away. At some point, Elmer decided the original 302 was too small for such a large car and upgraded to a standard 429/C6 and had the pop up sunroof installed. Factory correct color re-paint in 2001. He also saved the original handwritten owner’s card, warranty data plate information, the original user manual and some old paper work.
After I acquired this amazing car, I was very lucky to find a factory correct 1969 date coded 429 Cobra Jet engine. I had it rebuilt and installed in 2008.
