Vehicle Description
Audi A 4 sedan with famous Quattro all-wheel drive. Only 116,000 miles, all driven by sensible adults. Garage-kept most of its life. Leather interior with heated seats is immaculate, no rips, holes or excessive wear. Very straight car, no hail damage.
In case you aren't familiar with them, Audis are German luxury performance cars, made for the Autobahn. This isn't just an off-brand VW. Excellent ride and handling, effortless power, very capable in rain and snow with all-wheel traction control. It has a 2.6 L V-6 and 4-speed automatic with "Tiptronic" sports shifter. Gets about 25 mpg highway if sanely driven. Even better mileage if you use premium gas. Nice sound system with Pioneer radio/cd and Infinity Basslink subwoofer. Sunroof.
The good: front brake pads and rotors are new, fresh oil, head gaskets redone, near-new alternator and O2 sensor, flex pipes in exhaust new. Vacuum lines mostly new. This thing is very mechanically sound. It would be an excellent winter commuter car.
The bad: Windshield has a crack (not in line of sight). I got an estimate of $350 to replace it. I would list this car at $4250 with a new windshield. The gas gauge is intermittent (I think it needs a new tank sensor). The gas gauge error causes a check engine light. The "Digital information center" doesn't work. That unit in center of instrument panel just told you outside temp, time, door ajar, transmission gear, so no big deal. Odometer, speedometer, tripmeter, tach and warning lights all work fine. There are some light scratches on the hood. One wheel center cap is missing.
