Used Bring a Trailer, 1957 Ford Prefect for sale in Mount Prospect, IL

Not Perfect 1957 Prefect by FORD. I am helping a friend find a good home for the above. The pictures speak for themselves. Some tweaking/adjustments for the auto buff remain.

Car belonged to an older gentleman who passed 5-years ago. It was sitting under cover in his garage for that time. I installed a new battery and shot some ether down the carb and it started right up (yes all fluids were checked beforehand). We took it for a spin and it tracked straight. Applied the brakes and it does not pull to the side. Tires look brand new. Car has no body damage. Has 3-speed manual transmission.

The clutch releases a bit high. Probably needs an adjustment. Paint on engine (assuming it had paint) missing. The foam in the seats should be replaced. Vinyl of seats still look in good condition.

This is a niche car for sure. Miles are unknown. Top speed is about 65MPH. Car has very good bones.

Price of $6,500 is firm-ish.
