Vehicle Description
For sale is a 1996 Chevy S10 that runs, drives, steers, and stops well. Engine and Trans have just over 200,000 miles. Interior is in overall great condition. No trouble codes. Passed DEQ in August. Paperwork in hand for all items stated here-in.
Shifts are smooth and the clutch is solid. The body is in decent shape with some scratches here and there. The reason the price is low is because the head gasket is leaking anti-freeze on the outside of the head, not internally. I noticed the leak a few weeks ago and had it diagnosed at my repair shop thinking it was simply a freeze-plug. The engine oil is not milky and motor does not overheat. Idles and runs smooth.
The AC does not work, The steering is slightly loose, most likely the fault of the idler/pitman arms. Tires are old but have at least 90% tread left on them. If you have some time and money lying around, this truck can be made great again. Lord Knows we have a ton of time and money into it to get it to this point. It's far from a piece of crap. I just don't have the time or space to work on it.
I recently spent almost $500.00 on a professional fuel injection service. which included the cleaning of the intake manifold. We also put new plugs and wires on. Truck will come with a small set of tools, an instruction manual, a repair booklet, an accessory catalogue, and various specs highlighted. Drive it home today if you want; I guarantee it will make it with no issues.
