Vehicle Description
Hey folks, so….this is the worst and best truck for sale in all of Savannah. If you run into your trash can (as I did today) WHO CARES! It is a freaking MIGHTY MAX!
THIS IS NOT A NEW TRUCK!
THIS IS NOT A NEW TRUCK!
Park it at the bottom of Lake Mayer…leave it there for 10 years, haul it out and I bet it would crank up!
NO ACCIDENTS
115k MILES!
MANUAL!
AC? Hell NO! 2-70 AC baby!
It is VERY bare bones, but….what’s that mean? That means you don’t have to worry about much of anything breaking…simply because it does not really have anything on it you don’t need to get from here to there with your junk.
other advantages of this truck
- when you have a truck you are always being bothered by your buddies to borrow your truck
- slim chance that will happen
- most people can not drive a 5 speed
- I am guessing a lot of people will not want to be seen driving this truck
- so, it is a win-win!
Ok, ok – so, what’s the story……I had to use a truck for a few months. I had to move some junk and it was way cheaper to buy a beater then rent a truck. I looked for the cheapest truck that did not have 400k miles on it, decent tires, starts…runs, drives…stops. And that led me to me Mighty…I am done with it, so, I am selling it for what I paid for it. I even found the 31 year old window sticker…. LOL!
Side note:
- The camper shell is actually great
- Hauling things here and there you do not have to worry about something flying out of your bed and killing someone (huge plus)
Basics of the truck:
- 1990 Mitsubishi Mighty Max
- 115,xxx miles
- Clean CarFax
- 2.4 L 4 cyl engine
- Manual shift, 5 speed
- Clean GA title in hand
Cosmetics:
- Well…it is 31 years old……
- Paint and body are rough, but, not the worst I have seen
- The interior…well, it has a vinyl bench seat
- I did not even wipe the dash off or vacuum it out since I bought
- Vintage dirt and dust is included in the sale at no extra charge
- Driver door is dented in and the top window molding is loose as a result
- Tailgate is green
- Rust spot on the driver side of the bed
- Truck has always been in SC or GA
Mechanically:
- Cranks right up
- Tires are all well over 75% tread
- Brakes are good
- I changed the oil and replaced the spark plugs myself on Saturday
- It is a NON AC truck when it was new, so, no – it does not have ac
- Windows roll down
- Manual locks
- No check engine lights are on
- All the gauges work
- Does not run hot
- The steering is a little loose but I have had it going 70 on 16 and its ok
- It runs a little rich and you can smell it at idle but I sure was not going to worry about it
- Alternator looks like it was recently replaced (not by me, but it looks new)
If you aren’t sure about it and want to look at it and want to kick some tires and go stare at it for hours on end…I totally understand. I sometimes wake up at all hours of the morning just dreaming about it…I often find myself in the front yard at all hours just staring at its beauty – if you want to do that (and who would not wan to do that!) then no worries and no judgement! I totally get it! Just reach out and I will tell you where you can grab a 6 pack and a beach umbrella and set up camp and stare at it all day…it is parked at my office until it sells. Another reason I need to sell it is that it is cutting into my sleep time :(
If you want to drive it, share in its awesomeness, and then peel off some hundos and make it yours just reach out and we can set an appt.
I do not intend to meet with anyone not serious about buying it.
