Vehicle Description
Should you need assistance with your sale, please take a moment to review the following. I’ve just celebrated my 20th anniversary at my present location and have grown the consignment portion of my business to about 35-40% of total sales. Quite a few customers use my services for the following reasons:
1. Flat fee of $695 (due on funding of sale) plus expenses (advertising, fuel, etc. due on funding of sale or upon return of vehicle to owner, whichever comes first). No sale fees are owed or due if sale and delivery are not accomplished, except out-of-pocket expenses, due upon return of vehicle to seller.
2. Avoid having to deal with countless phone calls, texts, or emails from the public
3. Title paperwork is handled by a licensed Texas Motor Vehicle dealer (especially when a lien is in effect on your vehicle or the buyer needs financing)
4. Making certain that you are paid the correct amount in a timely manner (there are a multitude of scams in the marketplace which can be difficult to detect)
5. Advertising – handled for you in a manner that draws maximum number of interested parties
6. Test drives are always accompanied, never alone (copy of driver’s license & insurance is required). Personal safety can be an issue when test driving with an unknown person. Interested persons are instructed on how to make the test drive without damaging your vehicle (e. g. no jack rabbit starts, no high speed, no rapid acceleration before the engine warms up, no test drives for “under 18 years”, etc)
7. Professional presentation (objections handled) of your vehicle to show its best traits
8. Time savings for the seller – I’m available to show your vehicle by appointment 7 days a week, saving you the time & trouble it takes to consummate a sale
9. Trade-ins accepted by the dealership
10. Delivery – depending on the circumstances a sold vehicle can be delivered to a buyer’s home or office
11. Temporary license plates (issued for the sold unit) avoids your having to worry about the purchaser using your plates & thereby creating a legal liability for you
12. Indoor storage – available as space permits to keep your vehicle safe & protected from the environment
13. Display for drive-by traffic to gain exposure to potential buyers
Consignments were first introduced at my dealership in 2000 when I opened the store. The reason for offering the service at that time was to put inventory on the lot since we were new to the marketplace. As it turned out, the service became a major portion of the business, with hundreds of customers asking for help in selling their vehicles.
