1922 FORD MODEL T DEPOT HACK To insure keeping the original integrity this 1922 Ford Depot Hack has been completely disassembled, inspected, refurbished and reassembled with original Model T parts to pristine condition. All of the engine parts, driveline, and sheet metal match original serial numbers. The car has the original Ford option of a starter button, along with the original front hand crank. The wheels were taken apart, and each spoke sanded and re-varnished. The 31x3 inch tires are from the original manufacturer "Corker" which is now a subsidiary of Firestone. An inline 4 cylinder engine that uses a magneto and uses no ignition distributor at all, powers the car. The fan engine "belt" is actually a leather piece that looks just like a belt that you might wear to hold up your pants. That is where the term belts and horses originated. There is no clutch or clutch pedal to shift gears as it only has high and low gearing. Up around the steering column is a spark adjuster to retard the timing on the left and the throttle arm on the far right, the reverse gear to back up is in the center, and the pedal to put the car into high gear or low gear. The vehicle tops out at about 37 miles per hour! What a unique experience it would have been to travel across country with the entire family in a Model T!
