Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1929 Ford Model A Tudor Sedan. This Model A has been in the same family since 1970 in Athens, Georgia. When the current owner's father purchased it for $400, it was in complete running and driving condition but a little rough cosmetically (as it was already over 40 years old). The family enjoyed it for several years and the kids would take it out and run around town when their parents weren't home, sometimes breaking down and getting into trouble. It was restored to a nice standard in the mid 1980s which included paint, body, interior and drivetrain overhauls. The fenders were in poor condition, and at the time only fiberglass reproductions were available - so that is what were used. The body is otherwise original steel. Recent service includes new tires, tubes, transmission rebuild, steering gear rebuild and fuel tank refurbishment. The restoration has held up well and the grey finish with blue and yellow (straw) accents is attractive. It has been maintained with an eye towards driveability, seeing occasional use around town and chauffeuring two daughters from their weddings. The bill of sale from the 1970 purchase is included along with a bound service bulletin. A good running, attractive driver quality Model A at an approachable price point with a great story.
