1929 PACKARD 640 CUSTOM EIGHT RARE & AMAZING FORMER 1985 NATIONAL AACA FIRST PLACE WINNER DUAL COWL SPORT PHAETON THE ULTIMATE EARLY AMERICAN TOURING CAR WE DO HAVE THE SIDE CURTAINS AND SUPPORT STANTIONS NEW TOP BOOT WAS JUST MADE This lovely Packard is a fine example of a time when Packard's cars were considered the Rolls Royce of America. We sold this car five years ago and after the owner research and showed the car at many events, it has returned and now back up for sale. He has driven it about 1,700 miles over the last five years, mostly to show events. An older restoration and in 1985, this car receive the First Place AACA National Award. It was featured in the AACA magazine that year and further information will follow. Repainted to a high level upon restoration in Cream & Red. Complimented by Tan leather interior and convertible top. This car is equipped with the original rebuilt Straight Eight engine. Rebuilt factory three speed manual transmission. The chrome was new on restoration. Most has held up very well, a few pieces need revamp.The beautiful grill, hood ornament, & dual running lights say opulence. An excellent example of this beautiful American icon. The body is excellent and is accident and rust free. This car drives well and will look great in your garage.
