Vehicle Description
After 88 years this Rumble Seat Roadster runs like it did when new: starts right up and moves down the road with grace. With the top down and some grandkids in the rumble seat and it will be the most fun you—or they—have had in ages! A Great Car! This 1930 Model A has been the owners’ pride and joy and was restored by hand in my Uncle’s back yard after being completely disassembled, sandblasted and primed and painted and rebuilt. It has a dependable straight 4 cylinder engine, manual 3-speed transmission and starts at the press of the starter; and stops straight and true. Nice from Top to Bottom, chrome trim is all in mostly nice condition, setting off the character of this roadster. The top requires adding but parts are available. IThe brown interior is clean and fresh-looking, and as one would expect, the upholstery is free of rips, holes or separations. The upholstery in the rumble seat is also in good condition, as is the painted dash. The lights, wipers and horn work properly. The speedometer is not working most of the time. The Ford in-line 4 cylinder engine, known for their dependability, starts right up and runs properly. At the touch of the starter the engine comes to life and is ready for use. The manual, transmission has the floor-mounted shifter with 3 forward speeds plus reverse that works well. The brakes on the Model A bring it to a halt without pulling from side to side. A Nice Example of one of Ford’s Most Popular Models There is one word that can best describe this 1930 Model A: FUN!
