1940 Ford Deluxe 2 Door Coupe Complete Restoration We have fully restored 1940 Ford Deluxe 2 Door Coupe at Classic Vintage Exchange that you will have to come see to believe. It is a fully restored classic with no expense spared with the look and feel straight from 1940! Ford Motor Company introduced its De Luxe Ford line in 1938 as an upscale alternative to bridge the gap between its base model and luxury Lincoln offerings. The "Deluxe" name was used intermittently before and after this to specify an upscale trim, but the De Luxe Ford line was differentiated as a separate "marque within a marque" with separate styling and pricing through 1940 which had body-colored vertical bars and a three-part grille with horizontal bars. Ours has a great black exterior paint job, all shiny chrome and bumpers, great grille with the V-shape that defines it’s look, correct whitewall tires and two-piece Ford Deluxe wheel covers. The interior features the correct tan cloth bench seat and door panels, a dual-spoke steering, and the original dash panel, gauges, and original AM radio. The factory looking engine compartment compliments the 239 cubic-inch Flathead motor that replace the smaller cubic inch original engine. It retains the original factory air cleaner, carb, dual hoses, and more. The engine is attached to a three-speed manual transmission that has been rebuilt and shifts the way it was meant to be.
