1940 PACKARD ONE-TEN STATION WAGON VIN# 13832178 DESCRIPTION: • 245 CID Six-Cylinder Engine • 100 BHP At 3,600 RPM • 3-Speed Manual Overdrive • More Rare Than A Packard Darrin Delivered in May 1940 by Alvan T. Fuller, the Boston Packard dealer, this car appeared in California in the mid-1970s. Although its wood was still in excellent condition, it was treated to a lavish restoration by its owner, and avid Packard collector. When the restoration was completed, the car was ensconced in a specially built alcove in the owner’s living room. It appeared on the cover of Packards International magazine in 1989, but was otherwise rarely shown. With new ownership, it has been kept in climate-controlled storage and was given an extensive restoration to current standards by Custom Auto Service in 2006-07. Fewer than a dozen 1940 Packard station wagons are known to survive, only one or two of them in condition comparable to this car and none more authentic or better detailed.
