At the top of that buff engine, a pair of polished Edelbrock 4-barrels mix air from a polished pot with a steady stream of high-octane fossils that's siphoned through a series of stainless lines. At the base of those carbs, a polished Edelbrock intake feeds a glossy, body-matched block that's dressed with polished valve covers, polished breathers and a contrasting silver oil pan. The fires are lit through a quality MSD distributor, which is sequenced between a hot MSD coil and familiar Taylor plug wires. Cooling is provided by a beefy aluminum radiator, which is stacked in front of a large electric puller fan. Exhaust gets handled by ceramic-coated shorty headers. At the front of the block, a polished alternator and a coated AC compressor spin between polished pullies and polished brackets. And naturally, this Willys massaged engine bay is diced with cool details like polished fluid reservoirs and trick dipsticks. CUSTOM DRIVEABILITY Behind that show-worthy engine, a tough 700R4 4-speed twists power to a narrowed and braced Ford 9-inch. That first class drivetrain rolls on a custom, square-tube chassis, which cages modern coil-over-shocks in a traditional ladder bar rear-clip. Opposite that clip, a proven Mustang II front-half centers power rack-and-pinion steering between tubular control arms and two adjustable coil-overs. Serious stops to counter the car's serious speed are provided by two Wilwood discs and two old school drums. Spent gases are jettisoned through aluminized pipes, which growl through an H-shaped crossover and dual-chamber Flowmaster mufflers. And at the corners, polished Torq Thrust IIs spin 205/65R15 BF Goodrich Advantage T/As in front of 31x6.50-15 Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pros. CUSTOM COMFORT Pop the car's lightweight doors and you'll reveal a custom-tailored cabin that was installed in late 2018. A contoured bench stretches a tight leather hide under 2-point belts and billet buttons. An extremely cool dash wraps a tasteful combination of paint and leather around bright Daytona Instruments, modern Alpine audio and Vintage Air conditioning. A booted Lokar shifter rides directly between flowing side panels, which hang billet handles in front of modern power windows.
