This classic Buick is especially rare because American auto makers such as Buick weren't producing many consumer passenger cars at the time due to the War. Not only is this '42 Buick Convertible superbly detailed, it features a smooth running 248 Cubic Inch Straight 8 engine, making it a perfect car to take on a cruise or to a classic car show. The 248 Straight 8 has a dual double barrel carburetor with correct air cleaner and is mated to 3 speed column-mounted manual transmission. The smooth running Straight 8 engine powers 4 wide whitewall tires that have the correct hubcaps and beauty rings. The exterior Bright Blue metallic paint looks as if it was recently refinished and this classic Buick's brightwork and chrome is in very good, show quality, condition. The White Canvas convertible top on this Series 50 Super is in very nice condition and features a collapsable plastic rear window and comes with a gray boot cover for the top.
