Used 1946 Indian Chief for sale in Cadillac, MI

Indian Factory Chief Sidecar 1946 thru 1953. I have had the privilege of owning numerous vintage motorcycles with and without sidecars. If you have never owned a sidecar and you happen to be an owner of an Indian Chief 1946 thru 1953 this may be a rare opportunity to unite your bike with a piece of Automotive History. John Louis show contact info I have been an enthusiast of Indian Motorcycles for decades. My family is from Springfield Mass so I suppose that it is simply in my DNA. I can assure you that while Harleys and Excelsiors are desirable, it is the Chiefs and the 4 Cylinder models which attract most of the attention and command the highest prices. As the decades pass it has become increasingly more difficult to find unrestored pieces. This sidecar is such an example. There are no reproduced parts, fender, wheels, tub etc on it. Especially the floors and all of the Factory welds. Frankly I have never owned another Indian Sidecar with its original unmolested belly pan. This is a rare find because the water sits in the bottom of the tub and rots them out 99 times out of 100! Please call or text show contact info This is a totally complete set up with its entire brake and suspension systems. It is fit with its matching original Cadmium plated wheels pressed with new wheel bearings by Greers Engineering. The wheels are wrapped with NOS Avon tires which have never seen the pavement. Avons were only used by the Factory Post War 1946 and 47 so it is nearly impossible to find a pair of new ones. The sidecar has a correct spare wheel set up as well as an original taillight and fender light. All the mounting braces and knuckles necessary to mount the rig to your Chief are provided with the sale. The interior is faithful to what you would have expected from the Factory in 1946. The tub is fit with original front and rear vinyl mats which run the full length of the floors. Also present is its proper passenger foot rest.
