Vehicle Description
1947 Cadillac Series 62 Presented By: GARRETT CLASSICS classic and collector car sales and consignment 1865 McGee Lane, Ste F Lewisville, TX 75077 Call Dave 214-213-7072 or Maris 214-616-2317 We are extremely proud to present this beautiful 47 Cadillac. This car was sold at the R M Auction at Amelia Island in 2015. It sold for $126,500. (including commission). We are now selling it for the current owner at a very good price. The 62 Series convertible was the only convertible Cadillac built in 1947. There were only 6755 produced out of 61,926 total built. Features Include: 346 ci L Head V-8 4 Speed Hydra -Matic Transmission Coil Spring Front Suspension Live Rear Axle/Semi- Elliptic Leaf Springs 4 Wheel Hydraulic Drum Brakes Hydra-Lectric Windows Sombrero Style Wheel Covers In 2014 years after the restoration, the car won the the National First Prize awarded by the Antique Auto Club of America at Hershey Pennsylvania. Today the car is still in incredible condition. There are a few minor flaws which we show in our photos, but it is still one of the finest 47 convertibles out there. The current radio antenna is not working, but we have the original vacuum operated one which will go with the car. The mileage is believed to be actual. The tri-color interior is another nice feature of this car. There are some cracks in the finish on the steering wheel. However, we have this new wheel made of the colored plastic that all of the knobs are made of, which won't chip or crack. It looks white in the photo, but is actually the same color as the other wheel. After production of cars stopped in 1942, Cadillac was one of the few manufacturers to continue to build engines for the war. The strong 346 ci L Head 8 was used in military tanks for the duration of the war. The undercarriage is still in great condition. SInce the auction in 2015 there have only been 337 miles put on the car. Driving this car is such a pleasure. It just glides down the road. Please watch the video at the beginning of the ad. Again, please feel free to call Dave at 214-213-7072 or Maris at 214-616-2317 with any questions. We will be happy to help with financing as well.
