Vehicle Description
There is nothing on this Woodie that has NOT been sanded/grounded to bare metal/wood, polished, varnished, painted, powder coated, chromed, or otherwise modified. I'm the second owner, I purchased it in 2001, and spent over 8 years building it with the help of a LOT of friends! This Woodie Wagon was hand built by Tom Fritz at Custom, Classics, & Rods, Elk River, MN. (763) 218-5651, using the best parts & pieces of 3+ Woodies and a nice Fordoor sedan front clip. See Photos... Two friends and I drove the Woodie on it's "break in run" from Minneapolis, MN. to Fallbrook, CA. starting with 125 miles on the speedo! We Stopped in Colorado for a Goodguys car show, they couldn't believe we drove all the way and were on are way to the West coast. If you've never done it I highly recommend it! New Note: My son put 4 new tires (BF Goodrich TA Radials) on it, changed the oil and he and his wife drove it back to Minneapolis from The Marconi Museum in Tustin, California in July 2018. They averaged 15 MPG, the air blows cold in Las Vegas at 112, over the Rocky Mountains, no problems! They said they had the trip of a life time, everywhere they stopped it was a car show! Don't pass up your chance to experience this much fun!! Engine By Mike Hayden Racing Engines, Fallbrook, CA. - 408.75" CI. Small-block Chev. Balanced & Blueprinted with Polished Edelbrock RPM Aluminum Heads and Intake Manifold, Crower Full Roller Hydraulic Camshaft, Stainless Exhaust manifolds, and 2.5" mandrel bent dual exhaust system. etc.,etc.480+ HP/480+ Torque. Transmission - "Extreme Duty" Street/Strip GM 700/R4 Overdrive (Level 3) from Bowtie Overdrive, Hesperia, CA. Custom Interior - Mercedes Benz Palomino Tan MB-Tex upholstery, Ultrasuede headliner, Hand-painted\wood-grained Dash/interior window trim, Polished stainless steel fasteners and more. Power steering, Power Brakes, Air-Conditioning, GPS, DVD player, Hide-a-way screen, More Alpine radio/amplifier/speakers than you need in a car. Front and rear sway bars. Wheels/Tires - 15X6" American Racing 5 spoke Mags w/225X70X15 BF Goodrich tires Front, 15X10" Americans with 255X70X15 BF Goodrich TA Radials in Rears. All new Birdseye Maple/Ribbon Mahogany wood inside and out. Too many Custom Polished Stainless Steel Parts and Pieces to list. (see Custom, Classics, & Rods Catalog). I try not to think about how much time AND money I've invested in this Woodie to make it this nice! It's time for a New Owner, Don't pass up this chance to own this magnificent piece of American Automotive history!
