Vehicle Description
This car is as close to mint as it gets and is an an absolute steal at $27,000! It has been lowered from $34.990 to make way for more room in our showroom for more of the street rod style cars. This 1950 Studebaker Champion also has some very interesting history! It comes with documentation (Title copy) that it originally belonged to Jean-Michel Cousteau (Son of the legendary oceanographer, Jauques Cousteau) We are the 3rd owner and aquried it in Santa Barbara from the folks that got it from the Cousteau family. They furnished us with the title copy they had which is posted in the pictures above. It also comes with lots of print info on the Cousteau family. This 1950 Studebaker Champion (which we call "Bulllet") has only 23,000 original miles! She is running and driving like a dream. Her original gray paint is shiny and beautiful! Many people say it has an almost lavender hue when seen against the blue sky. It is a great color when seen live. Her upholstery is 100% perfect! (It must have been redone at one time is our guess) All gauges work as does everything including her wonderful overdrive with "free wheeling" setting. As a result she puts out that legendary Studebaker gas millage with her smooth quiet flat head six cylinder engine! (We know Jean-Michel Cousteau was a bit of a "Greenie" so he was proud to conserve gas) She will also cruise at 70-75 MPH effortlessly. Please call Chris (928 940 9082) and come take her for a test drive! She just plain makes you fell good when you are behind the wheel! This Studebaker is a truly rare find and is an incredible investment for anyone. With it's unique history and documentation, y ou would own a piece of history. She is currently priced at a very modest $27,000. However you will need to grab her fast at that price as we will be taking her to the Barret Jackson auction where with the Cousteau doumentation could easily bring over $100,000.
