Vehicle Description
Collectible Motor Car of Atlanta is thrilled to offer this 1951 Willys-Overland Jeepster. The Jeepster was originally produced by Willys-Overland Motors. One of the most overlooked but interesting vehicles in the storied off-road vehicle maker's past is the 1948 to 1951 Willys Jeepster-a two-wheel-drive convertible that industrial designer Brooks Stevens envisioned as a sports car for returning World War II GI's. As with many collectible Jeeps, it's still a buyer's market for Jeepsters-an open-air car that's sure to turn heads wherever you drive it. The handsome Jeepster had the same front-end styling as the Willys wagon and pickup, but with a fancier look thanks to Stevens' stainless steel T bar in the grille. While slab-sided like other Willys' offerings, the Jeepster had a higher cowl, the beltline dropped at the doors and then kicked up again on the quarter panels just aft of the doors.
The Willys-Overland Jeepster offered here has undergone an extensive restoration, finished in a beautiful Bright Red with a nice Tan cloth convertible top. The interior is nicely appointed with two-tone Tan vinyl and classic White steering wheel, which nicely matches the wide-whitewall tires. The little cruiser is powered by a peppy 2.2 I4 engine backed by a 3-speed column-shift manual transmission. The Willys-Overland Jeepsters are climbing rapidly in value, and this investment-quality cruiser is no exception. Inquire today.
