1953 Ford Crestline Victoria The Ford Crestline model had several versions of the car depending on what your preferences were. The Sunliner was a convertible, the Fodor was a 4-door sedan with extra chrome trim, the Skyliner which had an open rooftop which was retractable and was referred to as a basket handle design. Our example here is the Crestline Victoria. A 2-door coupe with a solid hardtop, and high-end styling. Offered for sale is a 1953 Ford Crestline Victoria. This Victoria has a fresh two-year old restoration that is of concours quality with attention to detail everywhere. The restoration was done over a 7-year period on a rust-free example. Although the "Vicky" looks stock in appearance, the engine has been modified to give the car even more performance. Exterior Painted in an original Ford color combination of Glacial Blue with a contrasting Sheridan Blue Hard Top. There is nary a wave or imperfection in the body work. The chrome is perfect as is all the bright work, and all is correct. Beautiful fender skirts are attached, and almost hide the wide white sidewall tires with a red accented steel wheel and Manhattan circular ribbed hubcaps in chrome. Interior The interior has been restored to as new with attention to originality and quality. Dark Blue vinyl bench seats front and rear show a contrasting cream vinyl top to the seat back. Door panels show the dark blue, with cream on top and add the Glacial blue to mimic the exterior. This Glacial Blue wraps around to the dash, which shows all original but restored gauges, knobs, and radio. A pristine bump enclosing a clock in the center of the dash and the original steering wheel reside here also. A sea of Dark Blue carpet envelops the seats, and pedal areas. 3 aftermarket gauges hang above the carpet, and below the center of the dash. A perfect headliner in cream covers the interior roof. Drivetrain A flathead V-8 engine has been stroked, and a Mercury cam was installed. Aluminum racing heads and dual 2-barrel carburetors sit atop. All wiring and hoses appear showroom new. Undercarriage Worth noting as it is very clean, and totally rust free on the underside. Body supports, floor pans, and fuel tank are all showing in very nice condition. Drum brakes are seen all around. You cannot overestimate the condition of this car. It is ready to win any concours or Ford classic car show anywhere. Very close attention to detail during the restoration was paid, and it shows!
