The Car: A wonderfully restored example of a very low production Derham personalized well preserved original Cadillac Series 75 Imperial Limousine.
Finished in Cadillac Dark Blue with Black Vinyl top covering the complete passenger compartment. Beautiful Grey Leather seat to the front and original medium grey cloth seats to the rear remaining in outstanding condition. Full seat finished in original cloth fabric remaining in outstanding original condition to the rear and folding originally upholstered jump seats against the Deco Upholstered Division Partision. Blue accent inlay trim on Doors and center division panel clock complete the rear interior space.

1955 Cadillac Model 75' Series Custom Limo by Derham ordered through Cadillac and purchased new by John D. Rockefeller JR. Production of 841 Imperial Limousines was 841. Only 2 were sent to Derham Coachwork for specific improvements and both went to John D. Rockefeller Jr. Derham improvements including enclosed rear windows (Blind Quarter Windows) a small rear privacy window and padded raised upholstered top with stainless trim windscreen overhang. The interior received fully upholstered rear privacy panels with mirrored vanity cabinet where there once were full windows and six ceiling headliner mounted Air Conditioning vents. One was kept at their Long Island retreat and the other car was kept in New York City for use between the famed residence at 740 Park avenue and the Rockefeller offices covering the 56th Floor of Rockefeller center. John D. Rockefeller was responsible for the then groundbreaking project beginning in 1931 now known as Rockefeller Center.
Intended for Heads-Of-State and captains of industry Cadillac’s Fleetwood Imperial Limousine was the most luxurious and expensive of Cadillac’s 1955 line. This particular vehicle carries the very rare “X” (Style 7533X Imperial Business Limousine) on the body tag indicating that it was equipped from the factory with additional luxury items including a power divider window. It is finished in Dark Blue Metallic (Cadillac) with a Black leather top. The drivers compartment is fully trimmed in gray leather. Behind the glass divider. the the passenger compartment. including the jump seats. is trimmed in gray broadcloth which is cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. The car has all the power and luxury expected of a Cadillac and Derham.
