Vehicle Description
1955 Ford Fairlane Victoria 2 Door Hardtop Snowshoe White/Buckskin Brown 272cu.in. Ford engine; Fordomatic transmission I have had this beauty for 5 1/2 years. When I bought the car, it already had a beautiful paint job, nicely re-done upholstery (white vinyl with tan cloth material), and an engine rebuild. Since I bought it, it has received a new radiator, gas pump and filter, gas tank, thermostat, sending unit, temperature gauge, horn relay, turning signal harness, hoses, new carpet, new headliner and sun visors, upper control arms/bushings/seals, shock absorbers, transmission linkage adjustment, and a carburetor rebuild. Learning that seat belts were an option for the first time in 1955, I also had seat belts installed for my own satisfaction. It is currently registered with a restored set of 1955 Texas license plates (which are very hard to find). It drives and rides like a dream, handles well, shifts smoothly, presents itself very well, and has been a real pleasure for me. It has received numerous awards in local car shows. In the past, I have had people ask me if it is for sale. At the time, I was in no way ready to sell it. However, now I am beginning to get that itch for another hunt. So, I have made the decision to part with it under the right circumstances. If you are looking for a very nice, dependable, head-turner of a classic car to enjoy cruising about town in, sharing it in car shows, or just to enjoy having it in your garage to admire ... one that is NOT souped up and turned into a hot-rod, but a pretty true classic in original-like condition that passes the Texas state motor vehicle safety inspection every year ... then this could be the car for you. NADA High Retail on a 1955 Ford Fairlane Victoria 2 Door Hardtop in this condition is $38,075 ~ noting that "high retail" does NOT represent a "100 Point or #1" vehicle which, by their definition, is a vehicle that "is not driven, would generally be in a museum or transported in an enclosed trailer to concours judging and car shows, and would be stored in a climate regulated facility." I have close to $35,000 in it between what I paid for it and what all I have done to it during the time I have owned it to bring it to the condition it is in. PRICE HAS BEEN REDUCED $3,000 FROM ORIGINAL LISTING PRICE. SEE IT. DRIVE IT. APPRECIATE IT. You will not be disappointed. If you are unable to come see/inspect it in person, I will make it available should you prefer to hire a professional classic car inspector to represent you. I will assist in any way I can if you need to arrange to have it transported. Feel free to contact me with any other questions. Thank You.
