We recently purchased this President from the previous California owner and as you can tell in the pictures and video it was his pride and joy !! He told us that the mileage was ORIGINAL although we have no documentation to prove it. It still retains it's - FACTORY ORIGINAL - driver's door pillar mounted Studebaker VIN tag - FACTORY ORIGINAL - cowl mounted data plate and it's - FACTORY ORIGINAL - glove box mounted paint information sticker, all of which are shown in several pictures. This is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - California - Idaho High Mountain Desert - Western car and it shows !! I drove this President as my daily driver for the last several days and I assure it runs and drives VERY WELL !! It is a GREAT driver in town and cruises down the freeway easily and smoothly. At the heart of this Studebaker is what appears to be the VERY STRONG !! - FACTORY ORIGINAL !! - 259 CID "Passmaster" V8 motor that is running VERY well. The motor also sports the ORIGINAL Style 4 barrel intake manifold, ORIGINAL exhaust manifolds, ORIGINAL "Passmaster" scripted valve covers and an ORIGINAL Style Carter 4 barrel carburetor. Sounds GREAT too with the factory style true dual exhaust system with dual chrome tips. The engine is backed by a SMOOTH !! - Three speed Borg Warner "Automatic Drive" automatic transmission that also functions very well. The BEAUTIFUL !! - MOSTLY ORIGINAL - Teal Blue Cloth and Vinyl President interior is in VERY NICE condition including a VERY NICE Teal Blue Cloth and Vinyl front bench seat, VERY NICE Medium Blue carpets, NICE ORIGINAL Matching Teal Blue Vinyl door panels, NICE ORIGINAL Studebaker steering wheel, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Factory Gauge cluster, NICE ORIGINAL Gold and Chrome accented dash, VERY NICE Teal Blue Cloth and Vinyl rear bench seat with pop-up armrest, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Teal Blue Vinyl sun visors, NICE ORIGINAL Teal Blue Cloth headliner and a VERY NICE ORIGINAL Teal Blue Vinyl dash pad with NO CRACKS !! All of the ORIGINAL black rubber weatherstripping is soft, supple and in good condition for being original. The GORGEOUS - Alpena Blue exterior finish is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL !! showing a few very small chips and imperfections that have been touched up but still looks GORGEOUS !! as you can clearly see in the LENGTHY VIDEO & 100+ ADDITIONAL PICTURES !! This President comes nicely equipped including factory front wing windows, factory power steering, factory style front seat belts, original driver's chrome side view mirror, working factory power wipers, good heater and defroster, factory gauge cluster with 110 MPH speedometer (the fuel gauge is intermittent), factory front fresh air vents, original AM radio which is no longer working, original clock which is no longer working, Studebaker floor mats and the original rear view mirror. The CLEAN - SOLID trunk also sports the ORIGINAL style vinyl liner and a NEW full size whitewall radial spare tire. All of the ORIGINAL light lenses and reflectors are also clear, bright and BEAUTIFUL !!
