Up for sale is a 1956 Cadillac Eldorado Seville hardtop coupe. The 1956 Seville came out as a response to the Continental Mark II so Cadillac had a super-luxury coupe in the lineup. Only 2,150 of these vehicles were produced in 1956, which makes this a highly desirable car. This car started its life sold brand new in Dallas at the Lone Star Cadillac dealership. The engine is a newly rebuilt (as of 2018) 16-valve 5.4 litre OHV 365 CID V8 engine. It is equipped with two Carter WCFB2371 4-bbl carburetors. The 365 V8 has a cast iron block, five main bearings, and hydraulic lifters. The engine is mated to GM’s Turbo-Hydramatic Jetaway 4-speed automatic transmission. The odometer reads 130,000 miles. This car features the classic Eldorado body in Alpine White, and a weatherproof black Vicodec cloth-covered top. The original paint is in great condition, especially considering its age, as is the top. It features the original stock gold anodized rims and stock hubcaps. The interior features original and untouched leather seats in beautifully contrasting black and white, and fully functional front power seats. The stock radio is fully functional and sounds great. It also features this model's optional air conditioning package, but it is not currently functional and would need to be repaired. The body is in great shape without any rust, or structural issues. The multitudes of chrome is in beautiful shape without any signs of pitting or other damage. In addition to the engine being recently rebuilt, it also recently had new fuel lines, and the brakes reconditioned.
