Vehicle Description
1956 CHEVROLET TF 3100 SHORT BED PICKUP This beautiful truck has received a documented full rotisserie restoration (no expense spared) by a professional shop and was completed at the end of 2016. With the modern drivetrain and amenities, the truck was built to RUN and be enjoyed! It’s been driven only 2400 miles and has been meticulously cared for. The truck also has a documented appraisal for 96k. Chassis: Original frame that has been fully boxed. TCI front custom IFS equipped with RideTech coil-overs, Wilwood brakes, power rack and pinion steering, and stock height spindles. The rear is equipped with a TCI 4-link set-up. A 9” ford spins the rear wheels with a 4:11 posi-unit and Wilwood disc brakes provide the stopping power. The rear suspension is also equipped with RideTech coil-overs. A new aluminum 19-gallon fuel cell is mounted underneath the bed between the rear frame rails. Stainless battery box is frame mounted with remote terminals conveniently mounted under the hood. The chassis is fully detailed and painted in gloss red to match the theme of this gorgeous truck. Drivetrain: The power is produced by a GM crate connect & cruise assembly. This includes the stout LS3 (430HP) all aluminum engine, and the 4L65E 4-speed automatic transmission. This is the perfect combination to get this beast down the road! The front drive assemblies are mounted with a polished Billet Specialties serpentine belt system. A beefy 4-core aluminum radiator and large electric cooling fan provide the cooling. The truck also has an external transmission cooler. Exhaust flows through factory LS3 exhaust manifolds, FloMaster 60 mufflers, and 2 1/2” diameter pipes. Body and paint: Body was completely dis-assembled and new panels were used where needed during re-assembly of the truck. The fit and finish of all body panels is excellent. All new bed with polished oak wood and stainless strips were used. All wheel wells, inside bed panels, and underside of cab have been coated with Rhino-lined material. The excellent body work was covered with a beautiful satin black/gunmetal blend of metallic paint. Hidden latches were used on the new tailgate. All new chrome bumpers, grill, glass, and stainless hardware was used on the build. Interior: Interior is all new and cab was fully lined with heat and sound deadening material. Smooth dash with built-into dash AC/Heat vents. VHX Dakota Digital gauges were used as well as a Flaming River tilt steering column with a new painted to match factory steering wheel. A custom console was built to house the Kenwood audio/visual stereo system (7” screen), Vintage AC/heat control panel, vents, and cup holders. Bucket seats, door panels, and headliner were covered in new red vinyl upholstery. Black cut pile carpet covers the floor. Seats also have 3-point seat belts, and the doors are equipped with bear claw latches and remote locks. Polished diamond plate is also used within the interior thresholds, console, and seat bottom surrounds. An American AutoWire harness was used to re-wire throughout. Wheels and Tires: Painted steel wheels with stainless trim rings and chrome center caps hold the BFG Silvertown radials w/ 4” wide whitewalls. Front wheel size is 15x8 with P235 75R15’s and rear wheels are 15x10 with P285 75R15. More: This pickup was built with attention to detail. It runs, handles, and stops exceptionally well. The truck draws a large crowd wherever it goes and is a pleasure to drive! This was a complete frame-off, all new rebuild and is truly a work of art.
