Vehicle Description
Here is a car for those of you who would like your scoop of classic 1956 served up Pontiac style. It is Mint Green flavored and topped with generous amounts of whipped cream. It looks great, rides nice and is a super comfortable cruiser. Check it out. The colors are bright and sunny with a springtime feel to them. People will smile as you roll down the boulevard, through town, or to an event. Tons of chrome leads the way with designs influenced by the beginning of the space race. The hood is topped by a large winged ornament with bold chrome stripes running up either side of it. The chrome trimmed headlights on the fenders have shiny eyebrows and between them is Pontiac lettering in script. Below all that is a beautiful sculpture in chrome with an upper part that almost looks like its smiling and a lower part that wraps all the way around to the front wheels. A slash of chrome runs down the side dividing the white from the green and the bold chrome stripes on the hood are echoed on the tops of the rear fenders. The trunk has another version of a wing ornament just over Pontiac in letters along with another sharp looking bumper. Open the door and you will find a two-tone Green interior with splashes of Ivory that is absolutely beautiful! The door panels have dark green centers surrounded by lighter green, with ivory accents on the armrest and window cranks. The bench seats are comfortable and gorgeous in the same pattern with ivory piping. A two spoke steering wheel has the models Chieftain badge in the center. Just behind it is a shifter for the automatic transmission and a Suntune II tachometer. Behind those is a stock dash with chrome trimming out the speedo in the center with the water temp and volt meters on the left and fuel and oil gauges on the right. A Deluxe AM radio sits just over the glove box uniquely located in the center of the dash while a Kenwood AM/FM/CD and iPod compatible stereo with speakers mounted in the rear shelf is mounted just below the dash for your listening pleasure. And don't forget about the trunk with plenty of room for all the luggage you could ever want to carry. Pop the hood and you will find that all those vintage 1950s looks are backed up by some updated running gear. There is a 350 cubic inch motor nestled down in a neat and clean engine bay, and for good measure is dressed out in a bit of chrome. It starts with a shiny air filter assembly with a bowtie wingnut that feeds a Rochester Quadra-jet carburetor. A stock intake manifold gets the mixture to stock cylinder heads topped by chrome valve covers and the spent gasses flow out through long tube headers. The alternator as well as its mount are also all polished up and signs of good regular maintenance include fresh plugs, wires and cap. An electric fan on the radiator keeps things running cool and power flows back through a 4-speed, automatic transmission. The rubber meets the road through 225/75R15s in the rear and 205/75R15s in the front mounted on Eagle alloy wheels. Classic 50s style in a model of car that you don't see every day. Modern running gear that adds some power as well as reliability and a few extra gears for cruising is nice too. Come on down and check out this sweet ride.
