1957 Chevrolet 210 Sedan The Chevrolet Two-Ten, or 210, was the midrange model of Chevrolet from 1953 to 1957. It took its name by shortening the production series number (2100) by one digit in order to capitalize on the 1950's trend toward numerical auto names. The numerical designation '"210"' was also sporadically used in company literature. It replaced the Styleline DeLuxe model available in previous years. The Two-Ten was discontinued after the 1957 model year to be replaced by the Biscayne. The Two-Ten shared the wedge-shaped side trim with the Bel Air, but unlike the Bel Air (which had the wedge filled with an aluminum trim panel) the Two-Ten's wedge was painted either body color, or top color with the optional two-tone paint package. "Chevrolet" in script was mounted inside the wedge. This very nice example of the 210 has undergone a full restoration, body and mechanical, and presents in pristine condition. Exterior Deep deep black surrounds very straight body panels with nice gaps all around. Tons of brite work, badging and bumpers all in its gleaming glory. A side view reveals the other difference from the Bel Air in the form of a B pillar. Wrap around glass in front and back as well as the tasteful fins on the rear make a stunning profile. Steel wheels with Chevy hubcaps, Dagmars and a gold grille and a near perfect Chevrolet badge placed in the center finish off a beautiful automobile. Interior In the writers mind the real highlight of this car is the absolutely gorgeous turquoise and black interior. A two tone split bench in front, and a full, bench in the rear, not unlike the rest of the car in "minty" (pardon the pun) condition. The chrome and black dash has immaculate gauges including a new speedometer in the middle, as well as a column mounted tachometer, and triple gauges hanging from the center. Noted is the original steering wheel with retro 1950's script saying two ten. The radio with an AUX line in allows you to play whatever you want, just get the adapter. A great turquoise headliner, and very nice door panels are there for the eye to behold. New seatbelts in the front and rear are added, as well as a Hurst shifter on the floor in the middle of the front bench. Drivetrain In a detailed engine bay sits the 383ci V8 with just 750 miles on it, which is adorned by several new flat black aluminum accoutrements including water pump, valve covers, Edelbrock manifold, and Edelbrock air cleaner. Ceramic headers, a new electric fan and a chrome fan pulley are strapped on as well. It has 440hp+ and 460 lb/ft of torque. An M22 Hurst 4-speed manual transmission replaces the original. Undercarriage Noted is a rust free, rustproof sprayed underside. Seen are new leaf springs and shocks, a front sway bar, new bushings on front, and new ball joints. A new high torque starter can be seen, and new power disc brakes in front and refreshed brakes in the rear. The original 3.55:1 pumpkin is nestled between the rear axles, of course all clean.
