1957 Chevrolet BelAir When people think of the 50's the first vehicle that comes to mind is almost always a 57 Chevy. Even if they have zero knowledge or interest in classic cars most people can identify the classic BelAir as it rolls by. This 57 is a nice two door post car that was nicely built. What is even better is it is being offered up a very reasonable price that doesn't break the bank. The body is in good shape and there are a few small blisters in the paint but nothing major. It is coated in White and all of the original style stainless and chrome is cleanly mounted in place. It has the original Gold "V" accents with Chevrolet emblems and all look good. The doors close really solidly and it is just all around a great car for this price. It rides on aftermarket American Racing Torq Thrust wheels which give it a bit more of a hot rod touch than your standard original wheels/hubcaps. The tires have plenty of tread left and are BF Goodrich P235/70R15. The VIN on the car decodes as a 6 cylinder BelAir but the motor has actually been changed out to a 283 V8. The block and a lot of the lower components are painted Chevrolet Orange and is topped off with an Edelbrock manifold, Edelbrock carburetor, vintage Corvette valve covers and a bat wing air cleaner. The transmission is a turbo 350 automatic that shifts well with no issues. A majority of the suspension, brakes, etc are the stock components but everything is working properly with no known problems. The car starts up and drives well with no smoking. We have had it parked in the same spot for a few days and there doesn'ty appear to be any major leaking as well. The interior of the car is done in a Red and Black combination using the original style upholstery. It has the split bench up front and a bench in the rear. The material is all in good shape and the headliner is done in Black. It doesn't sag and looks good. The dash is painted a matching Red and has the stock style trim and layout. An aftermarket AM/FM/Cassette player has been added as well as a Grant GT steering wheel which are the only real customizations. The trunk features the original style Black mat and houses a spare. All of the floors are solid and there is a little patina below the mat but no major rust or issues. This is a nice solid driver car that really doesn't need anything.
