Zora Arkus-Duntov,is a name which brought performance to Chevrolet in the 50's. Yes, he was the Corvette maven but his performance skills spilled over into other models like this very special 270 horse engine in this Belair. The 270 Horse Engine required a three-speed manual transmission and that is of course what is in this very correct car. Power steering makes this Tri-5 a joy to drive and man does it make a great sound when you put your foot into those dual quads....Finished in its correct livery of Matador Red with Silver and Red interior (per the original trim tag) the attention to detail on this car is amazing. The engine compartment presents itself like jewelry. The paint, interior and chrome in all areas is outstanding. You know how sometimes when you look at a "complete restoration" that the devil is in the skipped details? Not here. No old rubber left in place around wind wings that were never removed or rechromed, no chrome that was undone because it was "good enough". No gauges unrestored because they were "good enough".
