A last hurrah for the second generation Bel Air, the 1957 model brought forth a completely new design that lasted one year only. This car appears to have been restored with some custom touches including staggered wheels; 18" Billet Specialties up front and 20"s at the rear. The gold-colored grille Chevrolet badges look fantastic with that deep black paint for contrast! All of this along with many other new cosmetic items, this Bel Air is a showstopper and a half! The theme continues in the engine bay where if you lift the slick black hood you'll find a complete detailed engine bay stuffed with a modified 355 Chevrolet V8. According to the engine builder, Buck Racing Engines, it was a GM crate motor that they ported, balanced, and installed upgraded pistons in. The engine is bay is clean and crisp and if you look closely you'll see Kooks headers, a Billet Specialties front runner system with Tru Trac A/C compressor, aluminum radiator, and a Wilwood master cylinder for the Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes. As a bonus, many items are chromed giving the black engine bay just the right amount of flash! The engine fires up and runs strong as you would expect from a build like this. With a calculated press on the throttle, this Bel Air will put anyone inside back in their seat! The 700R4 transmission shifts as smooth as can be, making this Bel Air an absolute delight to drive. Speaking of being put back in your seat, the interior is a beautiful modern-style tribute to the original classic styling. A fully custom interior has been installed in perhaps the most perfect shade of red for this car. Not much can compete with a black on red Tri-Five Chevy! Complete with both front and rear cupholders, a retro modern radio, and a full set of aftermarket gauges (even the speedometer!), this classy interior leaves little to be desired. The icing on the cake is the seamless installation of both power windows and air conditioning. This is an incredible build that has had no expense spared. The quality speaks for itself when you get behind the wheel, and it would be challenging to build a '57 Chevy of this caliber for the same price. The black over red color combination is killer, and the stance is just right.
